Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments on the Pulwama terror attack haven't gone down well with the netizens...

Much like a number of noted personalities, Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu too expressed his thoughts over the Pulwama terror attack, in which about 45 CRPF jawaans were killed. Sidhu had shared that even after the horrific attack at Pulwama, the dialogue with Islamabad should not be stopped. While the Pulwama attack has triggered widespread calls for drastic action against Pakistan, Sidhu's comments suggesting to continue the dialogue with Islamabad drew massive flak from the netizens, who now want to boycott The Kapil Sharma Show, lest the channel fires Sidhu.

Those who're caught unaware, Sidhu also appears on Kapil Sharma's show as a guest. On Friday, Sidhu had said,"Wherever wars are fought and such things (like Pulwama attack) happen, dialogue also continues simultaneously. There is a need to find a permanent solution too. Such people (terrorists) have no religion, no country and no caste. When a snake bites, its anti-dote is also snake poison."

Sidhu strongly condemned the Pulwama attack on the CRPF jawaans on Thursday and said the the attack should be condemned by all but for the actions of a handful of people, one cannot blame the whole nation. "Those behind the attack much be punished," he added.

But looks like the damage had already been done as his comments didn't go down well with the Twitterati, who lashed out at him. Sidhu's reaction brutally backfired with the netizens demanding him to be fired from The Kapil Sharma Show.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions:

For the uninitiated, Sidhu is pretty good friends with former cricketer and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. He appears on ace comedian Kapil Sharma's show as a special guest and is popular for his impromptu shayries and one-liners.
