WWE wrestler John Cena pays tribute to Sidharth Shukla, fan says 'every Indian waiting for this'

Sidharth Shukla was laid to rest on Friday at Mumbai's Oshiwara crematorium in the presence of his mother Rita Shukla, sisters and Shehnaaz Gill.

‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner and one of the most loved actors in the TV industry, Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday (September 2) after reportedly suffering a heart attack at the age of 40. His sudden demise has left the TV and film fraternity and his fans shocked and heartbroken as they took to their social media handles to mourn the actor’s demise. Now, WWE wrestler and Hollywood actor John Cena has also condoled Sidharth’s death.

John Cena on Saturday (September 4) took to his Instagram and shared a black and white photo of Sidharth Shukla. The photo was shared without any caption as Cena’s bio reads, “Welcome to my Instagram. These images will be posted without explanation, for your interpretation. Enjoy.”

The photo went viral in no time and has garnered over 1.2 million likes in less than a day. Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor also double tapped on the photo. Reacting to Joh Cena’s post, Vindu Dara Singh took to the comments sections and wrote, “Will live on in our hearts forever.” Countless fans of Sidharth also thanked Cena for paying tribute to Sidharth.

“You care for us Cena we love you sir from India,” wrote one user while another commented, “Champ for a reason.” A third user wrote, “Every Indian waiting for this,” while a fourth user commented, “John Cena Tributes to Sid (shocking emoji).

Sidharth Shukla was laid to rest on Friday (September 3), at Mumbai's Oshiwara crematorium in the presence of his mother Rita Shukla, sisters and rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, who was accompanied by her brother Shehbaz were present at the crematorium. His mortal remains were brought from the Cooper Hospital- Mumbai in an ambulance decorated with flowers. Sidharth's mother. 

Members from the television industry, friends and family members were present at the funeral on Friday afternoon at the Oshiwara crematorium. Jay Bhanushali, Mahhi Vij, Aly Goni, Asim Riaz, Rahul Mahajan, Vikas Gupta, Abhinav Shukla, Karanvir Bohra, Shefali Jariwala, and Darshan Raval, among others reached the crematorium to pay their last respects to Sidharth. Several other stars including Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, Maniesh Paul, among others reached at late Sidharth's residence to pay their last respects on Thursday.
