IAS Artika Shukla hails from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Born on September 5, 1990, to Dr. Brijesh Shukla and Leena Shukla, she completed her early education at St. John's School. Artika earned her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College and subsequently pursued her MD at PGIMER. She achieved an impressive fourth rank in the 2015 UPSC examination.

Hailing from Delhi, IAS Jasmeet Singh Sandhu was born on September 23, 1987, to Surinder Kaur and Dr. JS Sandhu, who is the DDG (Crop Science) at ICAR, he completed his education at Sacred Heart Convent School in Ludhiana. Jasmeet graduated from IIT Roorkee and became an IAS officer in 2015 on his fourth attempt at the UPSC exam, securing an impressive third rank.

Artika and Jasmeet first met during their training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. Following their IAS training, Jasmeet was assigned to the Rajasthan cadre, while Artika received a posting in the Indian Administrative Service Union Territory cadre. Eventually, Artika transitioned to the Rajasthan cadre as well, citing her marriage to Jasmeet Singh Sandhu.

IAS Artika Shukla and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu tied the knot in 2017. Since then, Artika has held various positions in Rajasthan. She began her career as a Sub-Divisional Officer in Rishabhdev, Udaipur district. From 2019 to 2020, she served as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Ajmer. Additionally, she took on roles as Additional Commissioner in the Tax Department and Secretary of the Alwar UIT.
