A video of Devrani-Jethani falling into a drain while fighting started surfacing over the internet. The sister-in-law duo is seen engaging in an intense fight and eventually falls into a drain, other family members instead of helping them out also start fighting with each other.
This whole incident happened when Sangeeta Kumawat, the deceased brother’s widow reached the petrol pump with her maternal family and started fighting with Narendra Kumawat’s family members around 6 pm on Thursday.
Narendra Kumawat’s wife Chanda and daughter-in-law Shikha started beating Sangeeta. They started pulling each other's hair and attacked with punches and kicks. The women engaged in such an intense fight that they fell into the drain. Instead of intervening, their family members also joined the fight.
The police arrived at the scene and intervened. Narendra Kumar and Sangeeta Kumawat have filed complaints of physical assaults, harassment and vandalism against each other, the SHO said.
