Reports state that Mukesh Ambani spent a whopping Rs 5000 crore for his son's special day. But, there is another wedding which is considered as one of the most expensive Indian weddings.
We are talking about the wedding of Prince Jaideep Jadeja and Princess Shivatmika Kumar which is considered to be one of the most expensive royal weddings in the country. This wedding in the Gujarati royal family took place between Rajkot's Prince Jaydeep Jadeja and Princess Shivatmika Kumar. The Jadeja royal family is the richest and most prominent family of Rajkot.
Prince Jaideep Jadeja and Princess Shivatmika Kumar got married at the Jadeja family's ancestral home, Ranjit Vilas, which is a royal palace with a large lawn and over 100 rooms. The highlight of the wedding was a grand 8km procession, which featured 5000 people, including 30 princes in their regal attire, walking alongside camels and elephants.
The palace has now been converted into a hotel, adding another property to the royal family's hotel business. Moreover, the wedding was attended by around 25,000 guests, most of whom arrived on Jadeja's private jet.
The bride was decked with royal jewels, and the groom rode in on an elephant as per the traditional customs.
The total cost of the wedding was more than Rs 150 crore, while the Jadeja family fed thousands of poor people during the wedding and a total of Rs 7-8 crore was spent for this.
