Travelling between Jaipur and Delhi is about to get much faster with the nearly finished Jaipur-Bandikui expressway. This expressway is a key part of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway and will greatly reduce travel time between the two cities, making it even faster than the Vande Bharat Express train.
The Jaipur-Bandikui expressway is 67 kilometres long and has four lanes. About 80% of it is already complete. To build this road, officials had to remove 250 shops, houses, and other structures. They gave compensation to the affected people, which helped solve these issues, according to reports.
Once the project is finished, the drive from Delhi to Jaipur, which now takes several hours, will only take three hours.
The new Clover Leaf Six Lane Expressway will connect smoothly with the Southern Ring Road and the Jaipur-Agra Highway, making travel even easier. Work on parts of the Clover Leaf Expressway started in April and May, with more phases to come.
Once complete, this new road will not only cut down travel time but also ease the current traffic congestion on the existing routes.
This project is set to make travelling between Jaipur and Delhi much quicker and more convenient, potentially offering a faster option than the Vande Bharat Express train.
