Popular Indian YouTuber Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast and his wife, Ritu Rathee appear to be going through a difficult time in their marriage. Formerly well-known for publicly displaying their love, the pair has recently been the focus of reports implying that they may be going through a difficult time. Social media is currently ablaze with rumours about their potential split.
A few days after the 'Bhajan Marg' video went viral, Ritu Rathee addressed the rumours circulating about their divorce. In a video titled "Divorce Reality Check," she addresses her Instagram followers to stop demonizing Taneja and to remember that marriage is a union of two people.
Ritu criticised 'trollers' for assuming they knew everything about her eight-year marriage.
"A small event involved a husband and wife. He thought he was right, and I thought I was. He and I both became stubborn," she said.
But does that mean you'll tell me about the kind of man he was? I know this man from head to toe. I don't need your assessment of his sincerity or faithfulness. I have seen him in every situation.
Rathee blamed society of circulating stories and engaging in gossip. In the past, when families were joined, women were held responsible for all problems by society. Nowadays, since society has changed, people are more self-reliant. If a couple splits up, the man is now held responsible, she claimed.
Ritu Rathee further stated that, in a video circulating on the internet, she is, in fact, the woman who was heard pleading for advice from spiritual leaders Premanand Govind Sharan.
In the video in question, a woman begs Premanand about her future while sobbing uncontrollably and covering her face with a dupatta. "I have daughters, and I cannot work indefinitely." I will have to raise my kids since I am a mother. I'll have to quit my job to give them time," the woman could be heard saying in the footage.
