Milk is a highly recommended beverage for people of all age groups due to its rich nutrient content. It promotes healthy muscles, bones, teeth, skin, and vision. While most people consume regular packaged milk or fresh milk from dairies, there is a particular breed of cow that stands out for its exceptional milk quality -- the Holstein-Friesian -- and members of India's richest family, the Ambanis, consume milk from this breed sourced from Pune.

Reports indicate that Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, and their entire family prefer this milk for its superior nutrient profile, including proteins, macronutrients, and micronutrients. The Holstein-Friesian cows are raised at Bhagyalakshmi Dairy in Pune, which spans approximately 35 acres and houses over 3,000 cows. The milk from this dairy is priced around Rs 152 per litre.

Originating from the Netherlands, the Holstein-Friesian cow is the predominant breed in industrial dairy farming worldwide. They are easily identifiable by their unique black-and-white or red-and-white piebald patterns. A healthy calf weighs between 40 to 50 kg at birth, while an adult Holstein cow typically weighs between 680 kg and 770 kg and can produce up to 25 litres of milk per day.

Holstein-Friesian milk is noted for being rich in A1 and A2 beta-casein proteins, as well as other essential nutrients like proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, making it highly beneficial for health.
