Travelling from Patna to Delhi is a daily routine for thousands of passengers. The demand for tickets is always high, and despite several trains already operating on this route, the crowd never seems to reduce. But now, there’s exciting news for these travellers. A new superfast train, the Amrit Bharat Express, is set to promise a faster and more comfortable journey.
The Amrit Bharat Express will run at a speed of 130 kilometres per hour and will have fewer stops, allowing it to complete the journey from Patna to Delhi in just 12 hours. This new train is expected to start operations this year, providing another option for passengers travelling between these two cities.
The train will feature both general and second-class coaches, fully equipped with modern amenities. There will be special provisions for differently-abled passengers, and the seats will be more comfortable compared to regular trains.
According to reports, the train will also have vacuum toilets, sensor taps, advanced lighting, and display boards for passenger information.
The train’s exterior will be painted in orange and grey, giving it a distinctive look. The Indian Railways plans to prepare a large number of general and sleeper coaches for the Amrit Bharat Express in 2024-25.
