For the second year in a row, snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas seen from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur town has gone viral on social media.

This year too, snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas seen from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur town has gone viral on social media. Similarly, last year, due to less pollution, the snowy mountains of the Himalayas started appearing from Saharanpur. The photos went viral. People were surprised how it happened. Earlier, the Dhauladhar Range of Himalayas started appearing from Jalandhar in Punjab. Now again, a year later, pictures from Saharanpur have surfaced. In it, only those snowy hills of the Himalayas are seen.

 

The photos were captured by Dr. Vivek Banerjee, a pediatrician in the city. They went viral after Indian Forest Services officer Ramesh Pandey shared them on Twitter. Also, the pictures from the other two residents of the town have also gone viral on social media.

 

“Himalayas are visible again from Saharanpur. After rains, the sky is clear and AQI is around 85. PC: Dr. Vivek Banerjee #lockdown,” Mr. Pandey wrote while posting the photos on Twitter.

 

The pictures were also shared on Twitter by Sanjay Kumar, a UP cadre IAS officer passionate about photography. “What a fabulous view of snowclad Upper Himalayas more than 150kms from Saharanpur city. Two days of heavy rains across North India after Cyclone Tauktae landfall ensured all pollution in the air, mist and haze are gone.. PC Dr. Vivek Banerjee,” Sanjay Kumar wrote while posting the picture on Twitter.
