An automotive content creator from Hyderabad, Asad Khan, has ignited controversy after attempting to light a cigarette from the exhaust of a Porsche 718 Cayman. The video of his experiment, posted on Instagram, has amassed over 1 million views, but the reaction has been overwhelmingly negative.
In his post, Khan wrote, "What is the better way to light a cigarette? PS: I don’t smoke. Smoking is injurious to health. Featuring Porsche 718 Cayman in Racing Yellow shade."
The clip shows Khan standing behind the luxury car, likely in neutral gear, being revved up to emit unburnt gases from the exhaust. As these gases ignited into a brief flame, Khan held a cigarette to the exhaust in an attempt to light it.
This risky stunt nearly resulted in an accident as the cigarette caught fire and Khan narrowly avoided injury.
Social media users quickly expressed their outrage in the comments section. One user urged Khan to include a disclaimer warning viewers against replicating such dangerous acts. Another sarcastically remarked, "It might be a better way to light a cigarette and your hand too." Others criticized Khan's lack of understanding of basic physics.
The backlash highlights the potential dangers of such stunts and the responsibility content creators have towards their audience.
