Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi made a powerful statement of support by donning a red "coolie" shirt and assisting porters at Delhi's Anand Vihar Railway Station.

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi made a remarkable gesture on Thursday as he visited the bustling Anand Vihar Railway Station in Delhi. In an act of solidarity with the hardworking porters, Rahul Gandhi donned the traditional red "coolie" shirt and wore a badge on his arm, symbolizing his support for their laborious work. During his visit, he lifted luggage onto his head, a sight that quickly went viral.

A video clip captured the moment when porters encircled the Member of Parliament from Wayanad, carefully placing a trolley bag on his head. With a genuine smile, Rahul Gandhi carried the bag gracefully, weaving through a sea of porters who erupted into chants of "Rahul Gandhi Zindabad," expressing their admiration for the Congress leader. Another video clip showcased him donning the red shirt as a porter attached a badge to his arm.

The primary purpose of Rahul Gandhi's visit to the railway station was to engage with the porters and listen to their concerns and issues, a mission that the Congress party stated clearly.

The Congress party took to social media to share this significant interaction, stating, "People's leader Rahul Gandhi met porters at Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi today. Recently, a video had gone viral in which the porters of the railway station had expressed their desire to meet him. Today Rahul reached there and listened to them. Bharat Jodo journey continues,," underscoring the party's commitment to connecting with the people.

Srinivas BV, the Youth Congress president, also joined in, sharing the video of Rahul Gandhi carrying bags at the railway station, accompanied by the song "Hum Mehnatkash Is Duniya Se" from the 1983 movie "Mazdoor." In his caption, he hailed Rahul Gandhi as the "People's Hero," reflecting the sentiment of the moment.

This visit to Anand Vihar Railway Station is the latest demonstration of Rahul Gandhi's ongoing efforts to engage with the public and understand their challenges. In previous instances, he met with a group of delivery workers in Bengaluru, even taking a ride on one of their scooters, and he visited the Azadpur Mandi in Delhi, where he engaged in meaningful conversations with vendors and laborers.
