Brazilian model Debora Peixoto, previously known for her controversial use of menstrual blood in her skincare routine, is making headlines once again. This time, it’s for an equally bizarre practice: applying her own feces to her face in the name of anti-aging.
In a recent Instagram reel that has gone viral, Peixoto showcases her unconventional skincare method. The video begins with her retrieving a small container from the refrigerator, which she claims contains her poop. She then proceeds to smear the substance all over her face, using a clip to block the smell. After applying the mask, Peixoto washes her face and proudly displays the results to the camera.
“This is the craziest thing I’ve ever done,” Peixoto exclaims in a rough translation of the Portuguese video. “I smeared my feces on my face, and now he doesn’t want to be near me! I saw a study about it and decided to try it. It worked for me—my skin stopped flaking!”
The video has sparked a wave of criticism from social media users and experts alike. Many have expressed disbelief and disgust at the practice. One Instagram user questioned the benefits, writing, “Wth, there is nothing nutritious in this, this is everything toxic that is left of the food you ingest!” Another added, “Now we will be getting children putting poop on their faces because this so-called ‘influencer’ did it.”
Critics have been vocal about their concerns, with one user stating, “You should be ashamed of it, be treated.” Another pointed out, “We can all agree that our intestines eliminate toxins, and our bodies do not need them back on our skin.”
