Stuntman Alex Harvill’s demise has shocked the daredevil world of dirt bike jumping. One of the most prominent names of the extreme motorsport, Harvill crashed after a practice jump went horribly wrong.

The late stuntman was prepping up to break the Guinness World Record for the longest motorcycle ramp jump. The current record stands at 351 feet.

In a viral video, crashed a little short of the landing spot which was a dirt mound. He was thrown off his bike during the practice run when the bike crashed. He was attempting a 150-feet jump.

Harvill died due to injuries from the deadly accident. The Grant County Coroner’s Office, which confirmed the news of his demise, wrote, “Our deepest sympathies go out to Alex’s family, friends and loved ones.”

The late stuntman holds the Guinness world record for having achieved the ‘longest dirt-to-dirt ramp jump’ on a motorcycle. He broke that record in July 2013 with a 297-feet jump.

Harvill leaves behind his wife Jessica and two sons Willis and Watson Robert.
