5 brands you didn't know owned by Tata Group

Tata Group, one of the largest conglomerates, has extended its operation in more than 100 countries under visionary leadership of late Ratan Tata.

Zara: The apparel giant Zara operates in India through a joint venture between Tata 's Trent Limited and Inditex. The partnership cements Tata Group's presence in the fashion industry.

Starbucks: Tata Group introduced the cafe culture to India with international collaboration with the global brand Starbucks Coffee Company in 2012.

Big Basket: Tata Group expanded its reach in the e-commerce sector by acquiring a 64 per cent stake in online grocery platform Big Basket, headquartered in Bangalore. The platform allows consumers to buy groceries from the comfort of homes.

Croma: Tata Group solidified its presence in the electronics sector with Croma. Infiniti Retail Limited, a part of the Tata company have over 500 stores across India.

Westside: Westside is a fast-growing retail chain, offering a collection of apparel, footwear and home decor. It is a flagship brand under Tata Group's Trent Limited.

Among others, Vistara, Titan, Cult.fit, and Zudio are brands under the Tata Group. 

Meanwhile, Ratan Tata's half-brother Noel Tata has succeeded as Tata Trusts chairman, after his demise on October 9, 2024.

Ratan Tata passed away at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on October 9, 2024, following age-related issues.
