5 national competitive exams for engineering aspirants after 12th

Choosing the right college after class 12 often stands as a challenge to many students.

There is an overflow of information about all the different courses to apply. 

Still, engineering aspirants often believe that there is nothing outside of JEE and IIT. 

So, here is a list of 5 all India-level competitive exams, BTech aspirants can take up. 

Joint Entrance Exam or JEE is conducted every year by the exam organising agency, the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam is held to give admission to students to various engineering courses at several Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) across India.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Tets is another entrance exam to give admission to Birla Institute of Technology (BITS) Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses to study engineering courses.

Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the Engineering Entrance Exam every year to sign up eligible students for various engineering courses. 

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test is conducted for admission of eligible students in engineering courses at its affiliated institutes.

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam to take up eligible candidates who have passed their 12th with science subjects. Candidates who pass the exam are recruited as officers in the Indian Armed Forces after four years of training.
