Prithviraj Sukumaran's Aadujeevitham has been in development hell since 2009. After overcoming several obstacles, including budget, scripting changes, and the Covid pandemic, the film will be released on March 29, 2024
The Goat Life: 16 years
Raaj Kumar, Meena Kumari-starrer faced several delays, including personal conflicts of the lead actors. The film was released in 1972
Pakeezah: 16 years
K Asif's magnum opus went on floors in 1946 but faced several delays. Reportedly, the film was also abandoned briefly during the Partition of India, and finally got released in 1960
Mughal-E-Azam: 14 years
Shankar completed his first draft of a sci-fi actioner in 1996, but it was put on hold due to budget constraints. The film was released in 2010 with Rajinikanth in the lead
Robot: 14 years
The project was announced in 2013 with Suriya, and after several delays, the film went on floors in 2017 with Vikram. Dhruva Natchathiram still remains unreleased

Akshay Kumar, Sridevi's film was shot in 1994 and delayed for 10 years, finally released in 2004
