Well, before Aishwarya, Rani Mukerji was offered the role, however, she didn't want to play a ghost again after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Priyanka Chopra was first offered Shamita Shetty's role in the film, however, she rejected it due to her contract with the Miss World pageant

Sameera Reddy reportedly rejected Preeti Jhangiani's role in the film as she was not ready for films.

Sridevi was also reportedly offered a role in the movie, however, she rejected it and then the director scraped that character from film

Kajol was also offered the role of Aishwarya Rai in the movie, but she rejected it for unknown reasons.
