Meet Shannon K, daughter of Kumar Sanu, who recently made Cannes debut; know how she beat depression, online trolling

Indian-American singer-songwriter Shannon is the adoptive daughter of popular singer Kumar Sanu and his wife Saloni Sanu. Shannon also has a sister, Annabelle Kumar Sanu. 

Shannon started her career as a singer in 2018 with Justin Bieber's collaborator Poo Bear with the song A Long Time. 

Shannon has raised the important issue of bullying, showed support towards survivors of bullying with her next song, Give Me Your Hand.

Shannon K and her sister, Annabelle were bullied in their early years, and that horrific experience helped them to come up with the song Give Me Your Hand.

In one of the interviews, Shannon revealed that when she was 14-15 years old, she was affected by social media trolling, and she suffered depression and self-harmed due to online hatred. 

Shannon revealed that her family helped her to fight depression, "Fortunately, I had my family and friends to pull me out of that darkness. That was a really large lesson I learnt from there."

Shannon made her debuted as an actor in the Hollywood movie The Big Feed (2020). Shannon will make her Bollywood debut with Sanjai Mishra in Chal Zindagi.
