Citadel, the upcoming series starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, is the third most expensive TV show ever with a budget of $235 million (Rs 1920 crore), making each of its six episodes more expensive than most Indian films
The most expensive TV series in history is Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, with a production cost of $465 million (Rs 3800 crore), and each of its episode costing $58 million (Rs 475 crore)
Stranger Things season 4 comes in at number two with a per episode cost of $30 million (Rs 250 crore), with the total production cost of the two volumes as high as $270 million (Rs 2250 crore)
