 8 healthy foods that are bad for blood sugar levels

Not only sugar, but foods with high carbohydrates can impact blood sugar levels. People with diabetes should avoid following foods to prevent adverse effects.

Eating fried foods can also cause the blood sugar level to fluctuate. Diabetes patients should avoid fried foods like fritters, french fries etc.

Deep fried foods

Though rice is a healthy substitute for chapatis. However, it can cause a spike in sugar levels due to the presence of large amounts of carbohydrates. Diabetes patients should limit eating white rice, and instead opt for brown rice.

Potato contains starch which can increase the blood sugar level rapidly. In such a situation, diabetic patients should avoid eating potatoes and eat green vegetables instead.

Fruit juices may look healthy but they contain added sugar. Diabetic patients should avoid drinking fruit juices and instead eat fresh and raw fruits.
