Chandrayaan-3 is the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) third moon exploration project.
The mission will feature a lander and a rover, similar to Chandrayaan-2, but no orbiter.
Vikram, after the great Indian scientist Vikram Sarabhai, will be the name of the lander.
Pragyan, which means "wisdom" in Sanskrit, will be the name of the rover.
The mission will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India, on a GSLV-Mk3 rocket.
The launch date and time have been set for July 14, 2023, at 2:35 PM.
On August 23, 2023, the lander is expected to soft-land on the Moon.
The lander will launch the rover, which will explore the lunar surface for up to 14 days.
A variety of scientific instruments will be carried aboard the mission to research the Moon's surface, geology, and atmosphere.
Chandrayaan-3 is the fourth mission of the LVM3 rocket. The rockets will transport the 3,900 kg (3.9 tonnes) Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft.
