Meet Sanjay Singh, the man behind Bharat Mandapam

The Bharat Mandapam has become the talk of the town since its inauguration. People worldwide are talking about the architectural marvel that is the venue of the G20 Summit, showcasing India’s diversity with artworks. 

But do you know the man behind Bharat Mandapam?

The creative mind behind this is Sanjay Singh, the director of Arcop Associates.

The Project was conceptualized in association with Aedas Singapore. Sanjay Singh got associated with the project in 2016. 

The foreign guests have been greatly impressed by the artistry involved in creating the India Mandapam. Special attention has been given to India's history, culture, and craftsmanship.

Sanjay Singh mentioned in an interview with the media that his goal was to prepare the India Mandapam in a way that would vividly represent India.

Sanjay Singh mentioned his research, where they came across a map depicting two fish connected to a water stream. They realized that these two fish symbolize the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, which are the lifelines of India. 

Bharat Mandapam is well-equipped with a variety of facilities, including numerous meeting rooms, spacious auditoriums, comfortable lounges, an outdoor amphitheater, and a modern business center. This impressive complex was constructed with a substantial investment of approximately Rs 2,700 crores.
