5 dry fruits to avoid eating in morning

Ritik Raj

Some dried fruits such as dates, figs, raisins, and prunes are high in fibre and should not be eaten first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Raisins: Because raisins are naturally sweet and high in fibre, consuming them on an empty stomach may cause gas, bloating, and other stomach discomforts.

Dried figs: Because they are high in fibre, eating dried figs first thing in the morning without anything else to aid in digestion can lead to bloating and discomfort.

Dates: Likewise, dates' high fibre content can make them difficult to digest when the stomach is empty, which can lead to bloating and discomfort.

Prunes: Eating prunes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can cause upset stomach or even diarrhoea due to their high fibre content and inherent laxative properties.

Cashews: Due to their high fat content, consuming cashews in the morning without any other food to balance the intake may make you feel bloated and upset your stomach.

However, there are benefits to eating soaked dry fruits first thing in the morning.
