Keeping chopped vegetables in the open air

After cutting vegetables, one often leaves them in the open air. This may result in the vegetable losing its nutritional value due to oxidation.

Washing peeled and chopped vegetables

Once you are done chopping the vegetables, do not wash them again as they may lose their nutritional value.

Cooking food at high temperature

To cook food faster, many people shift to cooking vegetables at high temperatures, but this can reduce its nutritional value. Moreover, your vegetable can also end up losing it’s taste if cooked on a high flame.

Adding too much oil

Generally, excess oil in your food is not good for your overall health. So make sure you avoid using too much oil while cooking vegetables as it can lower it’s nutritional value.

Cooking frozen vegetables

When stored in the freezer for too long, most vegetables can lose it’s nutritional value. So, make sure that you cook the vegetables within 2-3 days after buying them.
