6 exercises to get rid of double chin

Straight jaw jut

Tilt your head back and look toward the ceiling.  A stretch under the chin can be felt by moving your lower jaw forward. Hold for 10 counts. Your head should now be in a neutral position, with your jaw relaxed. Repeat 10 times.

Place a ball beneath the chin. Press the chin down against the ball. Repeat a few times each day. Perform three sets of 8–10 repetitions.

Pucker up

Look at the ceiling with your head tilted back. Pucker your lips as if you’re kissing the ceiling to stretch the area beneath your chin. Do three sets.

Neck stretch

Lean back and gaze up towards the ceiling. Put your tongue up against your mouth's roof. Release after holding for 5 to 10 seconds. 

Bottom jaw jut

Lean back and gaze up towards the ceiling. Look to your right. Your lower jaw should go forward. Hold for 5 to 10 seconds and release. Repeat with head turned to the left.

Healthy eating guidelines to decrease double chin

Eat more servings of fruit and vegetables per day.

Eat low-fat dairy products.

Replace refined grains with whole grains.
