Nawab of Pataudi

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was the last nominal ruler of the Nawabs, who once controlled the kingdom of Pataudi. He wed the actress Sharmila Tagore, and together they raised three kids. Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor, currently holds the title of Nawab of Pataudi.

The Mewar Dynasty

Maharana Pratap and other notable monarchs have come from the Mewar Dynasty. His descendants continue to live in Udaipur. Arvind Singh Mewar is the head of this family and also a highly prosperous businessman. He is in charge of the HRH Group of Hotels.

The Royal Family of Jaipur

The final nominal ruler of Jaipur was His Highness Bhawani Singh. But because he had no sons of his own, Bhawani Singh adopted Padmanabh Singh, the son of Diya Kumari. Padmanabh assumed the title of Maharaja of Jaipur in 2011. 

The Wadiyar Dynasty

The Wadiyar Dynasty ruled the Kingdom of Mysore. Queen Alamelamma of Vijaynagar cursed that the Wadiyar dynasty would not bear any child in 1612 for seizing the crown. At the moment Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraj Wadiyar is the head of the dynasty. He is not the direct heir though.

The Royal Family of Alsisar

The family has ostentatious havelis in Ranthambore and Jaipur. Right now, HH Abhimanyu Singh is its current head. In addition to managing multiple hotels on family estates, Abhimanyu Singh is recognized for co-sponsoring the yearly Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival, Magnetic Fields. 

The Royal Family of Jodhpur

The Rathore family ruled Jodhpur in the past. Both the Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Mehrangarh Fort, two of the biggest forts and private homes in the world, are located there. Maharaja Gaj Singh currently resides in the Umaid Bhawan Palace with his wife, two children, and their spouses.

 The Gaekwads of Baroda

Since the early 1700s, the Gaekwads—who originated in Pune—have ruled over Baroda. Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, 52, is the current head. He also inherited property valued at over Rs 20,000 crores when he got to the throne. This covers the 600 acres of land, the 187 rooms of the Laxmi Vilas Palace, and more.
