7 must-try homemade drinks to beat summer heat

Ritik Raj

Drinking plenty of water is critical for maintaining health and comfort, especially during the summer when temperatures rise and the body dehydrates.

Why not attempt creating your own cool drinks at home instead of depending only on store-bought ones?

Fresh Lemonade: Squeeze fresh lemons, whisk the juice with water, and sweeten with sugar or honey to make a traditional and invigorating lemonade.

Watermelon Drink: Blend juicy watermelon chunks with water, a dash of lime juice, and a dash of honey for a sweet and refreshing watermelon drink.

Cucumber Mint Juice: Cut cucumbers into slices, then add water, lime juice, and fresh mint leaves to a pitcher to make a refreshing and crisp cucumber mint juice.

Iced Herbal Tea: For a calming and hydrating drink, brew your favourite herbal tea, such as chamomile or hibiscus, let it cool, then pour it over ice and top with fresh herbs.

Pineapple Coconut Water Juice: Blend coconut water, pureed pineapple, and lime juice to create a refreshing and revitalising drink.

Berry Smoothie: Blend mixed berries, banana, Greek yoghurt, and a small amount of almond milk to make a creamy, antioxidant-rich smoothie.

Ginger-Lemon Ice Tea: To make a zesty and refreshing iced tea, brew your favourite tea, add freshly grated ginger and lemon slices, and chill in the refrigerator.
