India's 38% population is vegetarian due to population of Brahmins, Jains and Buddhists. 

Mexico is on the second spot with 19% vegetarians, due to rise in popularity of indigenous foods.

Taiwan has 14% vegetarian population due to the rise in plant-based food culture.

Israel has 14% vegetarians and is the vegan capital of the world, with highest number of people following plant-based diet.

12% of Australia's population is vegetarian due to health concerns that come with eating meat.

Finland has seen a boom in vegetarianism, with 12% of its population relying on plant based food.

Argentina is tied with Finland, with around 12% of vegetarian population.

Austria has 10 percent vegetarians as the country has strictest animal protection laws in the world.
