8 easy ways to keep your house lizard free

Seal Entry Points:  Inspect the exterior of your house for cracks, gaps, or holes around doors, windows, pipes, vents, and the foundation.

Minimize Attractants:  Lizards are drawn to insects. Keep your house clean and free of crumbs, spills, and clutter. Store food in sealed containers and take out the trash regularly.

Reduce Outdoor Moisture:  Lizards seek damp environments. Fix leaky faucets, pipes, and air conditioners. Use dehumidifiers in basements or crawlspaces to reduce excess moisture.

Maintain Trim Landscaping:  Keep bushes, shrubs, and vines trimmed away from your house exterior. This reduces hiding spots for lizards and eliminates easy access points for climbing onto your house.

Bright Lights as Deterrent:  Lizards are generally nocturnal. Strategically place outdoor lights near entry points to deter them at night. Consider motion-sensor lights that activate with movement.

Natural Repellents:  Strong-smelling herbs and spices like peppermint oil, cloves, or cayenne pepper can be natural lizard repellents.

Ultrasonic Repellents:  These electronic devices emit high-frequency sounds that are supposedly unpleasant to lizards.

Welcome a Fake Predator:  Strategically place plastic owl statues or realistic snake decoys around your property.  These can act as visual deterrents for lizards.
