Red meat: Purines found in large quantities in red meat stimulates the production of uric acid.

Seafood: A high purine content in some seafood varieties, like sardines and anchovies, can result in increased uric acid levels.

Shellfish: If you enjoy eating prawns, crabs and lobster, then you must avoid it as they also contain high purine levels, which may lead to an accumulation of uric acid.

Drinks: Beer and other alcoholic drinks are bad for you because they not only have purines in them, but they also contribute to high uric acid levels.

Sugary drinks: Sugar, which is bad for you in various ways, may also cause the liver to produce more uric acid.

Vegetables high in purine: While we consider most vegetables safe for us, there are some vegetables like asparagus, spinach, cauliflower, mushrooms, and peas that have high purine content, which can raise uric acid levels. 

Foods containing yeast: Yeast has been shown to raise purine levels in the body, which may result in elevated uric acid levels. Therefore, foods like beer, bread, and some baked goods must be avoided.

Some dairy products: Even though dairy products are generally believed to be healthy, high-fat foods like whole milk and full-fat cheese can increase uric acid levels.
