Here are some foods that you should avoid when drinking a hot cup of tea.

Flour/Besan: Eating pakodas or namkeen with tea can cause digestive issues and acidity.

Green Veggies: Tea has compounds called tannins and oxalates which can hamper the absorption of iron.

Lemon: If tea leaves are combined with lemon, it can turn acidic and lead to bloating.

Turmeric: The chemical elements present in tea and turmeric can affect the digestive system.

Nuts: Eating nuts with tea can have detrimental effects on health as it can delay digestion. 

Curd: As tea is a hot beverage, pairing curd or any other cold product with it is not beneficial for health.

Fruit Salad: As tea is hot and heats the body, it is best to avoid consuming cold and raw foods along with it.
