Brown superfoods that prevent diabetes, heart diseases

Yam: Suran or yam is an ideal food to prevent heart and cardiovascular diseases.

Walnut: They prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Almonds: Almonds lower cholesterol, control diabetes and prevent gallstones. 

Black Chana: These legumes are brown in colour and are loaded with nutrients. 

Potato: Antioxidants present in potatoes help in weight loss and prevent ageing. 

Brown rice: Brown rice prevents diabetes and regulates cholesterol due to its low glycaemic index. 

Dates: Khajur or dates lower sugar levels and reduce the risk of heart disease too.
