DNA WEB DESK

Since bacteria grow quickly during this time of year—the rainy season—many illnesses are caused by it. This time around, the eye flu spreading more rapidly than it did last year. The membrane keeping the eye closed and protecting it from injury is infected by this eye flu.

Millions of people experience conjunctivitis, a common and contagious eye infection, each year. The condition's signs and symptoms include redness, discomfort, watery eyes, and the development of a sticky discharge near the eyes. It can be brought on by viruses, bacteria, allergies, or other irritants.

The most typical way that conjunctivitis, also known as eye flu, is transmitted is by coming into contact with an infected individual's discharge from the eyes. Here are some natural ways to deal with the eye flu at home.

Juices made from raw carrots and spinach have a reputation for being successful in treating conjunctivitis. Every day, you must combine 200 ml of spinach juice with 300 ml of carrot juice. The vitamins A and B2 in carrots and leafy vegetables maintain the health of your eyes and fight off infections, HealthSite reported.

Coriander decoction is believed to help with discomfort, swelling, and the itch that you experience when you have conjunctivitis. Use this to wash your eyes. 60 ml of water with a few coriander seeds added should be brought to a boil. Use it to clean your eyes.

To treat conjunctivitis, consume a cup of amla (Indian gooseberry) juice combined with two teaspoons of honey two times a day. This beverage calms your body and soothes the eyes while assisting in the relief of symptoms like eye pain and irritation.

Since ancient times, babul leaves have been used to lessen conjunctivitis-related pain and redness. These leaves must be ground into a fine paste in a mixer before being applied to the eye at night while holding it in place with a wrap. Afterward, wash it off in the morning.

Try using cold water fomentation for quick relief from the pain and swelling caused by conjunctivitis. Pour some cold water onto a small hand towel, squeeze out the extra water, and put it over both eyes. After that is finished, close your eyes and place a dry towel over them for relaxation. For a week, continue this method every night for one hour.

Palming is also advised for rapid recovery because it eases discomfort and soothes the eyes. You must do this while sitting comfortably and closing your eyes. Don't put pressure on your eyeballs when you cover your eyes with your palms. Use this exercise frequently to relieve discomfort and heal quickly.
