DNA WEB DESK

Foods to include in a healthy liver diet

Coffee

In patients who are at risk for liver problems, coffee also seems to reduce the quantity of aberrant liver enzymes.

Vegetables

Compounds found in spinach and other leafy greens may help fight fatty liver disease.

Red meat

Saturated fat levels are high in beef and pork. Additionally, as highly processed meats are high in saturated fat and sodium, they should be consumed in moderation.

Oatmeal

For people with NAFLD, a healthy diet full of high-fiber foods like oats is helpful and may lower triglyceride levels.

Fish

Fish high in omega-3 fatty acids include salmon, sardines, tuna, and trout. By decreasing liver fat and raising beneficial HDL cholesterol, it helps people with NAFLD.

Turmeric

High doses of the turmeric compound curcumin may lessen the indicators of liver damage in those with NAFLD.

Alcohol

Alcohol can play a significant role in the development of fatty liver disease and other liver disorders.

Fatty liver foods to avoid

Added sugar

Avoid sugary foods and beverages like candies, cookies, sodas, and fruit juices. The quantity of fat accumulation in the liver rises with high blood sugar levels.

Fried foods

They are high in fat and calories.

Bread, pasta

Since white flour lacks fiber, foods prepared from it can cause your blood sugar to rise more than those made from whole grains. White flour is often highly processed.
