Ghee vs butter vs oil: Which is healthier and better for weight loss?
Jaisal Kaur
Butter: Butter comprises saturated fats in the form of milk protein and butter fat. These fats are heart-healthy fats in comparison to poly-unsaturated fats in oils.
Butter has 20% water which evaporates while cooking, oil is pure fat which gets absorbed quickly.
Ghee: Ghee is made when butter is boiled at high temperatures and milk residue is removed, thus, it reduces a lot of fats.
Ghee has less fats compared to Butter. Butyric acid in ghee strengthens your immunity.
Oil: Oils contain poly-saturated fats which trigger inflammation in the body.
Olive oil is a healthier variation of oil as it contains unsaturated fats.
For a healthy body, ratio of 2:2:1 for butter, ghee and oil is perfect.
If you are consuming two tablespoons of butter and ghee, then consume one tablespoon of oil.
