How many hours of sleep is essential?

Like other needs, the need of sleep also changes with age. Getting sufficient amount of sleep helps mind and body to function properly as it gets enough time to relax. 

Lack of sleep can lead to various health issues, including weakened immune function, increased stress, and impaired cognitive abilities.

Newborns to toddlers needs 11-14 hours of sleep per day. They need to sleep for long hours to support their rapid growth and development.

Children aging from 3 to 12 needs tp sleep for 9-11 hours per day. Sleep is crucial for their learning, growth, and overall health.

Teenagers needs to sleep for 8-10 hours per day as they undergo significant physical and emotional changes, and adequate sleep is important for their well-being.

7. Young adults (18-25 years) needs to sleep for 7-9 hours per day. While young adults may feel they can function on less, consistent sleep is essential for health and performance.

People between the age of 26 to 44 should sleep 7-9 hours daily to maintain physical health, mental clarity, and emotional stability.
