Millet is a diabetes and heart-friendly grain as it is rich in protein.

Here are a few millets to manage diabetes, and bad cholesterol levels.

Foxtail Millet (Kangani/Kakum): Foxtail millet lowers blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and triglycerides in type 2 diabetes.

Sorghum Millet (Jowar): It also reduces blood sugar and bad LDL levels.

Barnyard Millet (Sanva): This millet has a low carbohydrate content, which makes it a low glycemic index food.

Finger Millet (Ragi/Nachni): This healthy grain also controls blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
