Cook in iron cookware  as it transfers some of the iron into the food.

Consume foods rich in iron like kale, beans, lentils, chickpeas, tofu, cashew nuts, chia seeds, etc.

Avoid drinking tea and tannin-rich drinks along with iron-rich foods.

Eat animal-based foods like red meat, seafood and eggs.

Chew your food properly as it breaks cell walls and increases absorption.

3. Consuming Vitamin C-rich fruits for promoting iron absorption. 

Avoid consuming pills that can hamper the production of acids like Zantac or Pepcid.

Avoid eating dairy products and other foods rich in calcium with iron-rich foods.
