The BCCI has retired the iconic No. 7 jersey of MS Dhoni, the captain who led India to victory in the 2011 World Cup. Dhoni becomes the second Indian cricketer to achieve this unique feat.

Sachin Tendulkar - 10 

Sachin Tendulkar holds the distinction of being the first Indian cricketer to have his jersey number retired by the Indian cricket team. Since 2017, the iconic number 10, worn by Tendulkar, has not been available for other players. 

Phil Hughes - 64

In 2014, tragedy struck when Phil Hughes, an Australian cricketer, was fatally struck by a ball during a domestic game. In order to pay tribute to his remarkable legacy, Australia retired his jersey number, 64.

Kobe Bryant - 8
