Undoubtedly the best pick for CSK since the first edition of IPL. He has had an amazing journey with the franchise and has led the team to record five IPL triumphs (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023). In 2008, Dhoni was bought for $1.5 million (around Rs 6 crore).

Suresh Raina

He has been one of the most consistent players for the Chennai Super Kings. His contribution for CSK has been immense. He played for the franchise till 2021 as he was released ahead of IPL Auction 2022. CSK bought Raina for $ 650,000 (Rs 2.6 crore) in 2008.

DJ Bravo

Bravo stands out to be the star performer for CSK in IPL matches. He holds a record of taking the second most wickets (183) in IPL history. The 2022 edition marked Bravo's last season in the IPL.
