4 Indians to become ICC chairman before Jay Shah

BCCI secretary Jay Shah was elected unopposed as the new ICC chairman, replacing Greg Barclay. He will assume the prestigious role on December 1, 2024.

With this new role, he has become the youngest ever ICC chairman.

However, their have been four other Indians who have been elected for the prestigious role of ICC chairman before Shah.

Jagmohan Dalmiya made history by becoming the first Indian to be elected as ICC president. His service spanned from 1997 to 2000.

Former Maharashtra chief minister Sharad Pawar served as the ICC president from 2010 to 2012.

Former BCCI President N Srinivasan became the ICC chairman from 2014 to 2015.

Shashank Manohar assumed the role of ICC chairman in 2015 and continued to lead for a four-year period until he stepped down in 2020.
