7 father-son duo who played cricket World Cups

Roger Binny and Stuart Binny

Former India all-rounder Roger Binny and his son Stuart Binny hold the distinction of being the only Indian father-son duo to have graced the World Cup stage. 

Roger was a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning side. Stuart was picked in India's squad for the 2015 World Cup.

Geoff Marsh, Mitchell and Shaun Marsh

Geoff Marsh and his sons, Shaun and Mitchell, have played 50-over Cups for Australia. Geoff, a member of the 1987 World Cup-winning side.

Mitchell was part of the Michael Clarke-led Australian team which clinched the trophy in 2015. Shaun was a member of the 2019 World Cup team.

Kevin Curran and Tom Curran

Kevin Curran and his son, Tom Curran, have also played World Cups. Kevin was part of Zimbabwe's squad in the 1983 and 1987 World Cups.

Tom Curran was part of England's World Cup-winning side in 2019.

Chris Broad and Stuart Broad

Chris Broad was part of the England side which lost to Australia in the final of the 1987 World Cup. Stuart Broad, one of the most successful bowlers, has played 3 World Cups - 2007, 2011 and 2015. 

Rod Latham and Tom Latham

Rod and Tom Latham are another father-son duo who played in World Cups. Rod was a member of the 1992 WC side while Tom is playing his playing third world cup (2015,2019,2023).

Kevin Curran and Sam Curran

Kevin Curran played in 1985, 1987 World Cups and Sam Curran is currently in the 2023 World Cup.

Tim de Leede and Bas de Leede

Tim de Leede represented the Dutch team at the 50-over World Cups in 1996, 2003, and 2007. His son Bas de Leede is playing in 2023 World Cup.
