Cricketers to play more IPL matches than Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli currently holds the fourth position in the list of players with the most IPL matches under their belt. He has participated in a total of 245 matches throughout his illustrious career.

Kohli holds the unique distinction of being the only player in the tournament's history to have played for the same team in every IPL season to date. 

MS Dhoni is one of only three players who have played more matches than Virat Kohli. As the most-capped player in the IPL, Dhoni has an impressive record of 257 matches under his belt.

In the final of IPL 2023, Dhoni made history by playing his 250th IPL match. Leading the CSK, he secured their fifth IPL title by defeating GT in a thrilling final match.

Dinesh Karthik has participated in 250 IPL matches, placing him ahead of Virat Kohli in the prestigious list. 

Karthik has been a consistent presence in IPL since 2008. He served as the full-time captain of KKR from IPL 2018 until the middle of IPL 2020. 

Rohit Sharma has played more IPL matches than Virat Kohli, making him the third player to achieve this milestone.

Rohit served as the full-time captain of the Mumbai Indians from IPL 2013 to 2023. During his tenure, the team achieved an impressive feat by securing five IPL titles.

Rohit joined MI during the IPL 2011 mega-auction and has remained a key player for the team ever since. Currently, he plays under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.
