Foreign cricketers who played in Ranji trophy

Denis Compton played for Holkar under the captaincy of CK Nayudu. He was the top scorer in the semifinal and also scored an impressive 249 runs in the final against Bombay.

Enamul Haque Jr, the talented left-arm spinner from Bangladesh showcased his skills while playing for Maharashtra in 2008/09.

Roy Gilchrist was invited to play for Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy. He managed to take 9 wickets, but unfortunately, Hyderabad ended up losing to Bengal in the quarterfinals.

Vikram Solanki, the former English cricketer, represented Rajasthan in the 2006/07 Ranji Trophy.

Kabir Ali, who is Moeen Ali's cousin, also played for Rajasthan.

George Abell was the first person to score a double century in the Ranji Trophy. He played for Essex before joining the Indian Civil Services in 1928. He spent most of his first-class cricket career playing in North India.

Nayan Doshi, the son of former Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi, made his first-class debut for Saurashtra in 2001/02. He primarily played white-ball cricket for Surrey.

Tanmay Mishra, who was born in Mumbai and later moved to Kenya at a young age, has represented Kenya in international cricket. In the 2019/20 season, he also played for Tripura in the Ranji Trophy.

During his time serving in the First World War, Conrad Powell Johnstone also played for Madras in the Ranji Trophy. He eventually went on to captain the team.
