Rohit Sharma-led India is set to play their two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting from 19 September 2024.
India and Bangladesh will play their first Test in Chennai on September 19 and their second Test in Kanpur beginning on September 27.
On Sunday, BCCI announced India’s squad for the first Test match against Bangladesh.
Virat Kohli makes his return to the Test squad after missing the five-match series against England earlier this year.
Kohli can also break major records in the upcoming Test series.
Kohli is just one hundred away from breaking Don Bradman’s record of scoring 29 Test centuries.
Kohli can join Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid in the elite list of scoring 9000+ runs in red-ball cricket. He just needs 152 runs in upcoming Test series to achieve the massive feat.
Kohli needs 32 runs to surpass Chesteshwar Pujara as the active batter with the most runs for India in Tests against Bangladesh. Kohli has scored 437 runs, while Pujara has scored 468 runs against Bangladesh in the longest format of cricket.
