Indian cricketers who played IPL before making T20I debut

The IPL was inaugurated in 2008, marking the beginning of a new era in cricket. 

Despite the passage of time, there are still a number of players who have been a part of the league since its inception and continue to actively participate.

Several prominent Indian cricketers have made their mark in the IPL before earning the opportunity to represent their country in T20Is.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli made his IPL debut in the tournament's inaugural game in 2008. He later went on to make his T20I debut for India in 2010.

Ravindra Jadeja

Jadeja was also a part of the Class of 2008 in the IPL. However, it wasn't until 2009 that we had the opportunity to witness him representing India in T20Is.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah made his IPL debut in 2013, followed by his T20I debut for India in 2016. 

Hardik Pandya

After showcasing his versatile skills with both the bat and ball during the IPL 2015 season, Hardik went on to make his debut during India's tour of Australia in 2016.

Shubman Gill

Gill made his debut in the IPL in 2018, but it wasn't until 2023 that he made his T20I debut.

Rinku Singh

Rinku made his debut in the IPL in 2018. His impressive performances during the 2023 season earned him a spot on the T20I side later that year.
