T20 World Cup 2024: How much prize money has Team India earned?

Team India ended their 11-years ICC trophy drought on Saturday after beating South Africa by 7 runs in the final of T20 World Cup 2024.
India also becomes the third team to lift their second T20 World Cup trophy in cricket history.
With this impressive win, the 2024 T20 World Cup champions, India won a massive prize money of $2.45 million (Rs 20.42 crore approx) by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
On the other hand, the runners-up, South Africa received prize money of $1.28 million (Rs. 10.67 crore).
Both England and Afghanistan, that were knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign after suffering loss in the semi-final stage, got $787,500 each (Rs 6.56 crore approx).
Moreover, India skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have announced their retirement from the T20 Internationals post winning T20 World Cup 2024 trophy on Saturday.
India also scripted history in Barbados as they registered the highest team total in a T20 World Cup final, scoring 176/7.
