Cricket fans are excited to watch the ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy next year.
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be the first ICC event hosted by Pakistan since it shared the 1996 World Cup with India.
Since its inaugural season in 1998, seven different teams have won the ICC Champions Trophy. Among them, two teams have won the title more than once.
India and Australia are only two teams that have won the ICC Champions trophy multiple times.
India has won the Champions Trophy twice – in 2002 (shared with Sri Lanka) and 2013.
Australia has won the ICC Champions Trophy twice, in 2006 and 2009, becoming the first and only team to claim back-to-back titles in the tournament's history.
Australia and India have won the tournament twice, while South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Pakistan have won it once each.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to be held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, 2025.
The marquee tournament will feature the top eight One Day International (ODI) teams, namely Pakistan, Australia, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, South Africa, Afghanistan, and England.
