India will be facing Australia in the highly anticipated final of the 2023 World Cup. Let's take a closer look at the teams that have successfully qualified for the most World Cup finals.

Australia have qualified for the World Cup 8 times - 1975, 1987, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2023. 

Australia holds the remarkable distinction of being the most successful team in the history of the ODI World Cup, having clinched the prestigious title a staggering five times.

India has qualified for the final of the World Cup four times: in 1983, 2003, 2011, and 2023. They emerged victorious in the tournament twice, in 1983 and 2011.

England has had the honor of qualifying for the World Cup final on four remarkable occasions: 1979, 1987, 1992, and most recently in 2019. They won the tournament in 2019.

Sri Lanka reached the final on three occasions - 1996, 2007 and 2011. They won the tournament in 1996.

West Indies played three consecutive World Cup finals in 1975, 1979 and 1983 and won on the first two occasions. They failed to qualify for 2023 edition.

New Zealand reached two consecutive World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019, and lost on both occasions.

Pakistan reached the final of the ODI World Cup twice in 1992 and 1999. They won it in 1992 under Imran Khan captaincy.
